1. Colt State Park, in Bristol, RI, has stunning sunsets and you can park here and bike the 13 mile East Bay Bike path. It's less than a 10 minute drive from our beach house.
Our area has many parks and hiking trails. Here are a few but there are many more.
2. Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, Middletown, RI- This a 2.4 mile walking path with stunning ocean views and a variety of wildlife.
3. Pardon Gray Preserve/Weetamoe Woods, Tiverton, RI- A 15 minute drive from the house. Weetamoe Wood has 7 miles of hiking/biking trails and adjacent Pardon Gray Preserve has an additional 2 miles. We highly recommend a stop at Gray's Ice Cream in Tiverton afterwards!
4. Newport's Cliff Walk - This is a can't miss! Spectacular ocean views on this 3.5 mile walk by many of Newport's famous mansions.
5. Brenton Point State Park, Newport, RI- Beautiful ocean views and a great place to fly kites!
6. Norman Bird Sanctuary, Middletown, RI- Bird sanctuary with over 7 miles of hiking/walking trails.
