Communication:
House phone number is (209) 296-2274. Local outbound calls are free and long distance service is available (phone tolls will be charged back after your stay). Cellular coverage is very limited.
Free high speed wireless internet access: wifi information will be provided with your check-in details. We recommend that you make a note of the wifi password before you leave for the cabin. Cellular reception is spotty in the area, but the wifi signal should enable you to text/call from outside the cabin if you encounter any questions or difficulty upon arrival.
How Does It Work?
A binder with information on how everything in the home works is kept on the kitchen counter for your reference. There is also a binder with handouts and brochures for things to see and do in the local area.
Access:
Access into the house is via a keypad using the code provided to you in your arrival message. The keypad is located on the left hand side of the front door jamb. To unlock the door, enter your code and then press the red logo on the bottom. It can take a few seconds to unlock. To retry, wait until the keypad stops blinking, then re-enter code + red button. To lock the door when you leave, simply press the red logo. From inside, the door may be locked/unlocked by rotating the lock.
To lock and unlock the patio doors, lift up on the door handle while turning the lock.
Garbage and Recycling:
Please note that garbage is picked up on Friday mornings (Saturdays after Christmas and New Years Day). On these days, we ask that vehicles are parked behind the house in order to give the trucks as much room as they need on our narrow driveway.

Air beds and linens:
As part of state guidelines for Covid-19, we provide bed linens and towels only for the number of registered guests. If your reservation requires the use of the inflatable air beds, these can be found in the bedroom closets along with the corresponding pillows and blankets.
EV Charging:
Explore the Gold Country without range anxiety! A Tesla Wall Connector is installed at back of the cabin. For other EVs, use the JDapter Stub is located in the entry. The JDapter Stub attaches to the TWC plug and enables any EV with a J1772 port to charge via the Tesla Wall Connector.
The charger is powered by a switch which must be turned on from inside the cabin. The switch is accessed from the Smart Home Console (iPad) mounted on the wall at the end of the eat-in kitchen bar.
Tap to open the WiOn app
Look for the device named “EV Charger”. If the device icon is gray, tap it (you may hear a click at the rear of the cabin). Once the device icon is green, the circuit switch is on and the charger is ready to use.
