A large (60m2), family and dog friendly modern apartment with south facing balcony, in the eaves of the house, offering one bedroom self catering accommodation for up to 5 people (3 adults plus 2 children). Situated in the centre of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, close to shops and restaurants, and 100m from the ski and hiking bus stop, 750m from the main gondola. Fantastic for skiing, biking, hiking and climbing, and family activities. We are 45 minutes from Salzburg airport, and offer the Hochkönig Card. Part of the ski Amade area.
A modern apartment, sleeping up to 5 (3 adults and 2 children), ideal for a family, in the eaves of the house, on the second floor with stunning views from the balcony. The separate cosy bedroom has a double bed, drawers and hanging space. In the living area there is a double sofa bed, a single bed, with pull out single bed underneath. There is also a large dining table, and well equipped kitchen with 4 ring hob, oven, coffee machine, toaster, kettle. In the living room there is a large flat screen TV with satellite channels. The bathroom is a a modern wetroom, with an open shower. The living room leads onto the south facing balcony with stunning views. Note that as the apartment is in the eaves of the house, there are some areas that are restricted in height. We do not recommend this apartment if you are over 1.8m tall.
There are 2 further apartments in the building to rent, so it is possible to house a group of up to 14 guests. Please enquire about this for more information.
As with all our apartments, fresh linen and towels are included in the price (one set per week). If you would like additional towels/linen, this is available at an additional cost.
There is a washing machine and drier available for use at an additional cost - please ask about this facility.
We offer the Hochkönig Card, which gives you free access to hiking bus, mountain lifts, and swimming pool in summer, and free night skiing and a days free GoPro hire in winter, plus lots more!

The apartment is on the second floor, accessible via stairs. There is free wifi, a landing area with information on the area, and we provide a ski storage room and boot drier in our basement.
There is a family room downstairs which guests are free to use that has tables and chairs to seat up to 16 people, plus family games.
There is room for parking for one car per apartment, and a shared garden.
My husband, Jerome, and I are based on site, in the ground floor apartment, so we are available to answer any questions you may have. We know the local area very well, and can give you recommendations on the best places to ski, walk, and eat, and any other activities you are interested in. My husband is French and speaks fluent french and English, and my German is improving fast! He also speaks some Italian and Spanish. I am English and also speak French, and basic German.
The scenery is beautiful with the limestone mountains on the north side of the valley. We are in the centre of the village, with shops, restaurants and bakery and banks a 200m walk away. We are 750m from the main gondola station, accessible either by bus (free in winter), or by car, or by foot. We are 100m from the bus stop. In winter there are 120km of skiing pistes to explore along with cross country skiing, snow shoe walking, ski touring, off piste areas. The area is also part of the Ski Amade ski area with over 760km of pistes.
In Summer there are 340km of hiking trails to enjoy along with various activities for children. The area is known for its petting farms where you can see the farm animals. The area is also great for mountain biking and road biking, as well as climbing. There is a bike rental shop in the village where you can rent bikes and e-bikes. There is also mountain carting from the top of the gondola.
There is a childrens playpark and small petting zoo across the road from the house which is open during the summer months.
There is an outdoor swimming pool in the village, and tennis courts, and there is horse riding available nearby.
There are lots of other activities you can do in the area such as zip lines, high wires, archery, rafting, canyoning, and lots of sights to see. I can provide you with any information on activities in the area and there is also the tourist information office is 200m from the house.
Further afield, there are so many sights to see- Salzburg, Hallstadt, Königssee, Eisriesenwelt (largest ice caves in the world), salt mines, castles, gorges, waterfalls, lakes, and more! All within 20mins to just over an hours drive away.
We offer the Hochkönig Card for free! This gives you free access to the hiking bus, swimming pool mountain lifts, bike lifts and taxis, tennis courts, plus more in Summer. In winter you can do night skiing in Maria Alm for free, get a free days GoPro hire, and many discounts!
We do recommend that you can best see the area with a car, but if you do not want to drive, there is a bus stop 100m from the house which can take you around the area.

Hi I am Alison,and my husband, Jerome, and I live at Haus Schneeberg, in the Austrian Alps, near Salzburg, Austria. Jerome is French and comes from Grenoble, and I am English and come from the Chester area.
We love outdoor life and the mountains, and if we aren't looking after guests in the house we are probably hiking / biking / skiing in the mountains!
