Located close to the Arts and Crafts community in Gatlinburg, TN, our cozy cabin sleeps four comfortably with room for one more on a roll away bed. Our cabin is ideally situated close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and is tastefully decorated to make you and your guest feel right at home. We donate 10% of all reservations to a nonprofit organization that provides temporary housing to those in need. Your home for as long as you wish as you visit the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains!
The large deck tucked behind the cabin is perfect for that refreshing spot to rest and relax. Either in the hammock, the hot tub or just relaxing at the outdoor table and chairs, you will find the view breathtaking. The tree-Lined outdoor space comes equipped with patio furniture, hammock, charcoal grill, swing and outdoor fire pit. The den has full length windows to allow natural light and sweeping views of beautiful mount Leconte. With a love seat and two recliners, you are sure to find it very comfortable to kick back and play games or watch your favorite TV programs on the flat screen TV.
Free WIFI is available throughout the cabin so you can keep abreast of all the latest news or to check your email. That is, if you really want to!
Gather In the warm and welcoming living room to share stories of the day while lounging on the leather love seat and chair or the always comfortable glider. The fireplace makes this room very cozy in the winter months.
Settle into the queen size bed in the master bedroom when you are ready for a good nights sleep or just to snuggle up with that special someone. The electric fireplace keeps you nice and toasty and/or gives the room a romantic glow. The second bedroom features a full size bed with lots of pillows to insure your comfort and features a hanging electric fireplace. Both bedrooms feature flat screen cable TVs as well.
The wash closet features a full size washer and dryer so you will never need to worry about having clean clothes. The bathroom, while somewhat small, features a full size shower/tub with plenty of hot water to relax those tired muscles from your daily hikes.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the expected amenities including a Keurig coffee maker and a regular coffee pot with complimentary coffee pods, Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds, filters, creamer and sugars. Tea time is anytime with our quality selection of teas. A starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and dishwashing tabs and trash bags are included with your stay.
We always leave little surprises for our guests as well. Maybe a bowl of peanuts, M&Ms or mints. Our goal is to make you feel at home and snacks are always a part of home! No keys to lose or to return! Our cabin provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key or personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay. When you reserve our place, directions will be emailed to you.

Welcome to our favorite room, the den! With full windows and two sets of French doors, this room is full of sunshine and views of the spectacular Mt. Leconte. Settle into one of the comfy recliners or kick back on the love seat to enjoy your favorite TV program, share the days exciting adventures or play games with each other. Either way, we are sure that this will become your favorite room as well.

Living room

As you enter the cabin, you come into the living room with a oversized comfy chair, the sofa and a rocker/glider. All of the furniture faces the wood burning fireplace which is open October through April. What a great way to end the day by snuggling up to your loved ones around the warm fireplace.

Kitchen

Room size: 120 Sqft

The small eat in kitchen has everything that you will need to prepare a 5 course meal or just warm up a pop tart. We provide a Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, Espresso machine and kettle for all the hot beverages you can concoct. We provide a variety of Keurig cups, coffee grounds, tea packets and a variety of sugars and creamers. The coffee bar is always open!

Bathroom

Room size: 60 Sqft

While the bathroom is small, it has a full size shower bath tub combination with plenty of hot water to soak your cares away after a hard day of hiking. The extra large soft towels will wrap you in luxury after a nice hot shower or bath. Each bedroom has two house robes for your use as well.

Getting around

Getting around If you want to stay on the flat lands this cabin is not for you. Our cabin is at the top of a mountain off of a historic one lane logging road. Winding one lane PAVED road. Your car will not have any trouble getting up and down, we just like to make things perfectly clear. If you want the view you have to drive up the mountain! If you are lucky enough to get snow, pack in groceries and plan for a few days unless you have a 4X4 No refunds are given for weather so please check the forecast before you travel.

We use the August Home Security system to allow our guests to enter the cabin using their cellphone. If you are not comfortable with the system, we also have a key lockbox you can use.

No pets

Unfortunately we do not allow pets in the cabin. One of our owners is highly allergic to pet dander and hair. We have found out the a lot of our guests are the same.

Prior experience requires us to only allow guests who are 21 or older to reserve our cabin.

Our two bedroom cabin will sleep 4 comfortably. We also have a twin roll a way bed available to allow you to include one more person during your stay.

House Rules

A FEW simple rules for the cabin, Two Owls and A View: All guest have to follow these rules at all times. These rules are strongly enforced. - This is an Airbnb community, not a hotel, and is also my home, please be respectful of the property and keep it clean before you leave. (Respect our property and our things) - Please let us know immediately if something is not working properly so it can be rectified. On occasion, we may need to enter the cabin when you are not present to make repairs. - Smoking is a violation of our house rules and something you can’t do. This leaves the house in a condition not suitable for the next guest - Locals must contact the host before booking - Your white glove service includes linens, bath towels, as well as a starting supply of essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods and basic toiletries. - To provide the best quality service to our guest, we offer luxury hotel-quality towels/linens. Please be respectful of bed sheets and towels. - Makeup/foundation, towels are to be used only for their intended purposes (Any makeup/foundation face medications/creams, and tanning products that stain our regular towels will result in additional charges Please avoid using regular hand/bath towels with all skin products. - Guest are not to wash laundry belonging to the home in order to hide stains. ALL stained, ruined linens/bath towels will be charged to the guest. Our Housekeeping team will wash all the laundry. - Check-in at 3pm / Check-out at 10am Check out time is STRICTLY 10 AM. - Any late check out is subjected to a late check out fee of $100 USD. - If your late checkout exceeds two hours we will charge your for an additional day. This does not award you possession of the property for an additional day, it is a penalty assessed for holding up our next guest and preventing our housekeeping team from doing their jobs. - This additional day charge is the BASE RATE of the room without discounts that may have been applied - The occupancy limit for this property is 4 unless prior approval is granted. Any additional guest on the property will be automatically vacated for trespassing - Broken, damaged, or missing items will result in additional charges - A fully stocked fridge may take up to 8 hours to cool. Be patient. - The fireplace is CLOSED April 15-October 15. - No parties or events. Breaking this rule will be forced to leave and loose all monies. - No loud noises between 9pm-8am - No outside noises between 8pm-10am - No unregistered guests - No illegal activities of any kind - No smoking of any kind except on the porches outside - Do not re-arrange indoor and outdoor furniture - We try to be environmentally conscious so please try to conserve, water, electricity and the wifi. Turn it off/disconnect when not in use. Hang towels to dry. - Ladybugs are a protected species and cannot be exterminated. They are here to protect our trees. - You are in the woods on top of McCarter Mtn. There are lots of bugs in the woods. If you leave doors or windows open, they will enter the cabin. Occasionally, they will enter as you enter the cabin as well. - If the house is damaged or dirty, in a condition beyond what a reasonable, courteous guest, would leave the cabin in, an additional $100 cleaning fee will be assessed. - Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks. These are free and please indulge yourself to your desire. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to your discretion and inspection to consume these items if you wish. We do not take any responsibility for the consumables or any allergies that the guest might have. - Any house rules violation is ground for immediate termination of your stay and will result in eviction Fees • $200 Per day that you are smoking inside or on the property • $100 Late Checkout Fee • $Price of the room for the day with no discounted rate (Base Rate) if the late checkout exceeds 2 hours • $250 Smart Lock replacement if our smart lock equipment is damaged - As you prepare to leave, please do the following: - Please make sure all dishes are washed and put away before leaving - Insure all windows and doors are locked. - Put all towels in the bath tub and leave sheets on the beds before departing. - Bag all trash and put in container by back deck. - Turn out all lights. We love to spoil our guest and will provide your first mornings breakfast or late night snack which consist of fresh fruit, pastries and orange juice. We also offer a full coffee bar with a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods, drip coffee maker with coffee and filters and a tea kettle with a variety of specialty tea packs. Of course, it would not be complete without sugars and creamers. ENJOY!
