Some of our favorite restaurants include the following:
#1 hands down Flora Farms......you HAVE to go here either for lunch or dinner.....expensive but worth it....reservations recommended
Tuesday is fried chicken night, very popular, reservations a MUST! you need to make ASAP,
Regular menu also available, Breakfast is also very good , all you can eat buffet and quite reasonable!
This is a destination restaurant and an experience you can't miss while in Los Cabos.
great food, music, strolling the gardens, star gazing (as in celebrities )
#2 Seven Seas for breakfast, great views & massages after breakfast or lunch (at the Cabo Surf Hotel) Nice beach to hang out at after a meal,
Full Moon dinner specials with local music.
#3 Nicksan for sushi, close to the house at the Palmilla Shoppes, we also like Koi Sushi in DT San Jose, next to the Tropicana, upstairs!
#4 Sardina Cantina on the hiway, no view, local hang out , excellent food.
#5 Drunken Sailor by the new Port in San Jose del Cabo, (great tacos, cheap beer;-)
#6 El Matador , the Chefs house is his restaurant in the back streets of San Jose. Very quaint & excellent food. A very unique experience.
#7 but likely to become #2, La Lupita Taco and Mezcal , local hang out, Tuesday 2 x1 tacos. Thursdays before Art Walk in town!
Reservations a Must at La Lupita, I saw many people turned away for not having a reservation! Very reasonable prices, great food and fun atmosphere. Go early on Thursday before the Art Walk in San Jose del Cabo,
Others to mention:
District, good food, great sports bar, local hangout, used to be an Applebees, so theres not much Mexican atmosphere, but solid food and drinks
Forenza for Italian Food. Lovely couple from Italy serving authentic Italian Food in San Jose del Cabo!
Blue Fin at the Palmilla Shoppes, Close to the house, easy to get to, great tacos, ceviche and beers
Buzzards Bar and Grill, used to be owned by a couple from Fallbrook, now a guy from Canada,
Road trip out to the east Cape, watch out for cows and donkeys on the road!
In Cabo San Lucas we like:
#1 Hacienda Cucina Y Cantina at the Hacienda hotel on the main beach...kinda hard to find, but well worth it....best view in Cabo right on the sand.....There's valet parking at the entrance to the hotel....once there, head towards the water and find the sand!
#2 Alcavera . sp?? Excellent Italian food in a tiny little spot in the back streets of Cabo. Local spot, hard to find..tripadvisor has a map to it....I think he may have moved to a larger spot due to its popularity!
The Office or Mango Deck is a must stop for happy hour & to see the Cabo scene...we don't go there for dinner anymore...but still fun.....for drinks & people watching. Spring break crowd at it's finest!
Sunset Mona Lisa, Best View in Cabo! Great spot for Sunsets over the Pacific ocean with Lands ends views, Make this a special occasion restaurant!
Check out Tripadvisor too for more places!
there are soooo many great spots to discover & we have not even touched the surface of what's out there in Cabo or San Jose del Cabo....have fun! we also like to hire our chef for the first night in and stay at the villa for dinner and lots of left overs.....Alfonso can arrange that for you.....
Alfonso also has some great recommendations!!!
Thanks & have a great time, Peggy
