The Lake Lure Tour Boats is slightly over 5 miles from A Touch of Luxury Cabin in Lake Lure/Mill Spring. Located at the Washburn Marina near the Beach at Lake Lure, the tour boats are within walking distance of the Flowering Bridge and the Lake Lure Welcome Center. If you are interested in learning about the highlights and history of Lake Lure/Chimney Rock, I highly suggest making a tour boat reservation. The Pontoon boat ride is around one hour long. You will view many beautiful homes and parts of the lake, learn interesting facts and tales about the area, and also discover where parts of the "Dirty Dancing" movie were filmed. You will ride right by where Johnny and Baby practiced their final lift dance scene in the lake. Call in advance.
