The house manual is also located inside the apartment. Please take a moment to read through the house rules as soon as you check in.
WELCOME TO ARBOR SUITE!
We strive to provide a clean, comfortable and beautiful place for you to stay.
Thank you for honoring the following and notifying us with any questions that you may have.
HOUSE RULES:
NO Smoking anywhere on the property
• Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM •
•Please keep the gate closed to prevent deer from eating the flowers in the garden.
GUESTS:
• The home and garden are not childproof, therefore children are not allowed.
• No Business that would bring people to the property is allowed. Please meet your customers off site.
• Your guests may park behind you or all the way onto the grass parking strip parallel to the street. You may get ticketed by the West Linn PD if your car is part way in the street for emergency vehicle access reasons.
CARE OF THE SUITE:
• Please do not place any luggage on the beds or any of the furniture. Use luggage racks provided. • Please use care with food and drinks on the furniture and carpets. Things can happen, let me know if something spills so we can get it all out to avoid permanent damages. Only toilet paper can be flushed in the toilet, use the trash bin for wipes and other sanitary products.
• We provide colored wash clothes to remove cosmetics as they stain the linens beyond repair and you could be charged for the replacement cost if this happens.
• We can no longer allow dyes or paint of any kind to be used inside the suite, for example: no hair dye, fabric dye, craft paint, etc.
• Also, bicycles, skateboards, coolers or other outdoor or sports equipment are not allowed inside the apartment, ask about onsite storage for these items.
ACTIVITIES:
• The lower half of the backyard is common space. The courtyard next to your apartment is your space. We will maintain it though. Please do not water the plants.
• If you would like to learn how to play “Pétanque”, the rules and boules are in the box next to your door. There is also an extension cord for the lights of the court. please use the cord cover on the sidewalk to prevent tripping over the cord in the dark.
HOUSEKEEPING:
• Please do not use harsh, abrasive or toxic chemicals in the apartment. We have provided non-toxic cleaners for you to use. If you run out let us know. Only use the cleaning products provided for the washer and dryer to protect it from damage
• If you accidentally spill something that could stain, let us know immediately so that we can take care of it before the stains “set in”. Please do not attempt to remove the stains yourself as this could cause further damage.
• Please do not use air fresheners unless they are natural. We are allergen free
to accomodate everyone• Only use water, rubbing alcohol or granite cleaner (provided) on the counters.
• Please do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners on the ceramic stove top, (we will take care of any burnt on spots on the stove for you with special cleaners. make sure the bottoms of pans are clean and dry before turning on the heat) on other appliances or anywhere in the apartment.
• Do not wash the white linens and towels, leave them for us to do and request clean linens.
• Do not remove the mattress cover! Doing so will incur very high damage costs to your account. We have purchased a very expensive cover to protect you from dust mites and bacteria and to protect the life of the mattress.
• As stated above: Use only the colored wash clothes to remove cosmetics as they stain the linens beyond repair and you could be charged for the replacement cost if this happens.
• Please run the bathroom fan for at least 60 minutes after taking a shower to remove moisture from the space that can cause mildew damage.
• There is an awesome ceramic wall heater in the bathroom that must be turned off when leaving for safety reasons. There is also a portable heater in the bedroom closet to use if you like it extra cozy, please also turn it off when leaving.
• No toxic chemicals or car washing, (there is a car wash in Lake Oswego on State street) detergents in the garden or on the property for the health of the soil, plants and also for the wildlife that visit. We have crickets, frogs, many different birds, owls, bats, coyote, raccoons, skunks, deer, squirrels and much more! You may even see deer in the front yard eating off of the fig tree or crossing the road.
• If your car has leaks, we may ask you to move it to the parking strip.
• Please do not water the house plants; this kills them quicker than not getting enough water, they are happier to wait. They do NEED light however so tilting the shades for them to get light is appreciated. If you are here on an extended stay we may need you to water them.
• Typically on Friday mornings there will be landscapers here to groom the lawn and blow leaves during the growing season.
• We put the trash and recycling out Sunday evenings for Monday morning pick up. The Green Bin is Trash, brown is yard debris, grey is recycling (no glass). Leave glass by the bins in the short grey container. If you recycle, the items must be cleaned first , no food can remain on items. Most takeout containers and clear plastic salad containers for example are not for curb pick up. If you are unsure leave clean items out in a bag for us to sort for you as one wrong item renders the entire recycle bin as garbage by Metro.

• Checkout time is 11:00 am.
