...We aim to help you with that when you vacation at Clover’s Cottage. The beauty of rural east-central Pennsylvania is all around. Farmland, pastures, small churches and one-horse towns (because of the Amish community that is here, it is quite literally a little community with horses!). You will feel it as you drive through the mountain foothills, past the wineries, or explore the back roads to nowhere - a drive headed right toward your first vacation goal: RELAX.

On property, we offer some simple and wonderful little treats that will be enjoyed by children and adults. The original cast iron well hand-pump sits just off the front porch. It offers hours of entertainment for the youngins’, filling toy buckets found in the shed with water and growing creativity while parents relax on the porch swing. By the creek is a tall hanging tree swing that beckons any rider. There is a small dock on the pond that acts as a great fishing spot or a launch for our row boat or canoe. Many children and adults alike have caught their first fish here, many dogs have enjoyed swimming until near exhaustion, and many parents are found rowing their kiddos across the water to explore the outdoors.

Want more? We have it. Further up on the creek is a pedestrian covered bridge. Children will love exploring the yard and imagining the friendly little trolls that live under the bridge. Next to the bridge is a little wooden playhouse that makes perfect playtime for any human under 4’ 5”. Wind down your day with a campfire in the yard, roasting marshmallows, telling stories and chasing fireflies. All of these simple and unique outdoor amenities are sure to hasten your complete arrival at your second vacation goal: REFRESH.

So all that's left to accomplish the perfect vacation is to RECONNECT with family and friends. To truly embrace the idea and achieve such a lofty goal from a vacation, it is often first necessary to disconnect a bit as well. Email, social media, news streaming, and other electronic distractions have consumed our lives.

Let us help you with that. Cell phone service is limited or non-existent in areas of the property because of the rural, mountainous terrain. We have high-speed Wifi internet within the cottage (only available on our area since 2023). We recommend that you keep that Wifi password to yourself for a while and watch the kids RECONNECT in meaningful ways. (There are two smart TVs and a small DVD collection available, perhaps for a long, rainy day). We suggest that visitors turn on their wi-fi phone service on their phones to make and receive phone calls more easily.

The magic happens at Clover's Cottage when visitors embrace the privacy and solitude, and RECONNECT with nature, their loved ones, and even themselves.
